Every year, Exploriem.org will host Artifex, the Professional Artist Gala. The purpose of the Gala is to raise funds for entrepreneurial artists while providing them with support and publicity. Artists include fashion designers, new media creators, filmmakers, musicians, visual artists and writers.

Artifex 2012, the inaugural Professional Artist Gala, has a host of inspiring and entertaining activities that make up this year’s spectacular event.

Astro-Numerology for 2012

Today is May 8, a day of empowerment and abundance. The
number 8 and the sign of Taurus are aligned with value and
our inner values.

As you know, 2012 adds up to 5 – the Universal Year of
Freedom.

What I’ve found in the many years of coaching people is
that they don’t feel free, nor do they feel valued. Rather,
they feel obligated to do things, or obligated to serve
others.

If you are currently in a relationship, career or living a
lifestyle that is not happy and fulfilling, then it’s time
to look within and ask yourself:

Do I need to be in a relationship with this person or this
situation?

If the answer is NO, then you have arrived at a fork in the
road – a real pivot point symbolized by the Number 5 of
2012.

In 2012 you are being asked to make choices. Every choice
requires that you re-direct your focus. Is your energy
focusing on a value system that makes you feel less
deserving? If so, redirect your focus on feeling valued for
who you are and what you do.

2012 is the 5 Shift Year, when you pivot from feeling
victimized to soul-empowered.

True authentic Power is harnessed when you do Soul-directed
activity.

Power is lost when you do Ego-directed activity.

Let’s look at some common ego-directed choices. We all have
experienced being on the phone with a friend and letting him
or her talk long past when YOU would like the conversation
to have ended, right?

The choice made in that instance was to continue listening
to stories that dissipated your energy instead of lifting
you up.

I’m not talking about refusing to listen to a friend who is
working through a challenge. Rather asking yourself in the
process of listening, “is there anything I can do to support
my friend so she can feel connected to her true essence, her
Soul?” If NOT, then you are not assisting, but allowing your
own energy to be dissipated and lowered by spending
unnecessary time with someone who is not ready to do release
their ego.

Compassion does not ask you to be a doormat. Compassion is
never an obligation.

Another common experience people who feel less deserving
create in their lives is to make appointments to do things
or see people even when they don’t have the time, or when
there is no uplifting reason to be with them.

Again, you have to ask yourself why you feel obligated to
put others first, ahead of YOU? Why do you feel your Soul is
not deserving of joy, peace of mind and freedom?

2012 is breaking down our long-held paradigms we have
carried of feeling obligated to someone or something other
than YOUR Soul. The path to joy is enabled when you spend
time doing only those things that enable your highest good.

If you do something that does not support your highest
good, you are not creating the highest good for anyone
around you either.

So really, this moment right now is an opportunity to
re-direct your energy towards your highest good.

Do what you LOVE to do. Do what brings you joy and delights
you!

The instant you stop resisting what brings you happiness -
you are FREE! You make uplifting choices. You value who and
what you truly are… a Divine Being of Light.

Settle for nothing less than joy. Your experience of 2012
depends on it.

Review what you have set up for yourself in terms of
commitments, phone calls, meetings with friends and keep
only those that uplift you.

Self-care is the first step towards freedom.

A short note to advise you that I will be away on maternity leave August 1, 2012 to at least March 1, 2013 possibly longer. My last work day will be July 31, 2012. During that time, I will not be seeing clients or hosting workshops. I will do my best to update my blog during this time so do please check in from time to time.

Saturday, May 5, 2012 adds up to 5/5/5 – if you add up 2+0+1+2

5/5/5 is the number of big changes – hold onto your hats kind of change. It also happens to be the day of the Super Moon, a full moon is 14% closer to the Earth, that asks you to release your old programming and negative thinking.

Saturday will be a great day to release and let go of anything you don’t want to carry forward into 2012. Pay attention to how you are feeling and the moods of those around you. Be gentle and be aware.

Saturday promises to be a big day in the lunar calendar, with the full moon coming as close to Earth as it will all year.

Dubbed a “super moon,” it will be 14 per cent closer to Earth and 30 per cent brighter than when at its furthest point.

The moon’s orbit is not circular but more like the shape of a squashed cigar.

“The ellipse of lunar orbit is constantly changing because it’s being tugged on by the Earth and the sun,” says Bruce McCurdy, an astronomer from the Royal Astronomy Society of Canada.

During its orbit Saturday, the moon will reach its closest point to the Earth, called perigee, and two weeks later will be at its farthest point from the planet.

This cycle’s perigee, at 11:34 p.m. ET on Saturday, will be the closest of the year. But McCurdy isn’t all that impressed.

A super moon happens every 14 months, when the full moon cycle coincides with its proximity to the planet. In the last dozen years, 10 super moons have come closer to the Earth than Saturday’s will, he says.

Those who look at the night sky Saturday night will likely notice something spectacular about the moon.

The best time to view the moon is when it’s near the horizon, around sunset at 11:12 p.m. ET.

The effects of the moon will certainly be felt, with tides a few centimetres higher, says McCurdy.

“The time around a full moon meant there was a big bright light source in the night sky that wasn’t there at other times of the month.”

Just a quick note to advise you that I will be away on maternity leave from August 1, 2012 to March 1, 2013 possibly longer. During this time, I will not be consulting with clients or holding workshops.

My last work day is July 31, 2012 so if you wanted to see me or get a tune up, please book before then.

Also, people with gift certificates will need to arrange to have them honored before July 31, 2012 or after March 1, 2013.

Lesson 2: Your Professional Guides and Power Animals
There are “professional” guides, experts who have passed on, that you can summon to help in your particular field of endeavor, whether that means help passing an exam or inspiration for a screenplay. If you’re doing a project in a specific field of study, you can access the energy of a noted scholar who was prominent in that subject and ask for assistance. In Mystery School, Deborah King learned how to connect with deceased physicians, for instance, to do etheric template surgery. For some of you, a revered power animal, such as an eagle or bear, may have the most significance and be your connection in to Spirit.

You have at least two Guardian Angels who know everything about you and are ready to help you whenever you ask. Learn to identify your angel guides by the way they “feel.” And peek into the nine celestial orders of angels from Christianity and the 72 Names of God from the Kaballah. Lesson 4: Guidance from Your Higher Self
One of your most important guides is your Higher Self. Find out how to know the difference between thinking that comes from your personality, which isn’t the most reliable source of information, and guidance from your higher self, which is a powerful channel of valid information. Learn to acknowledge your “gut feelings” and to develop your intuitive insight so you’ll know, for example, whether that the guy or gal you’re enamored with isn’t right for you, or is, in fact, “the one.”

You can connect to spiritual teachers and masters from various lineages. Your particular gurus or spiritual mentors are there to help you fulfill the spiritual contract you made with yourself before you came into this lifetime. Some may be highly evolved ascended masters (like Jesus), while others are masters of a particular facet of life. You can learn to recognize the signs they send you about something you need to know about and develop a connection with them that is always there for you.
